 This 3-hour master class will describe the historical changes of our times that are starting to revolutionize medicine: The scientific body of medicine is being integrated into easy access point-of-care applications (apps). In 2009, more than 5,000 such new apps were created. In 2010, this number will more than double. This class will analyze the developments and the use of such apps. Further, new communication patterns accompany the structural change leading to participatory health. This, combined with the consumer movement represents a major change in healthcare.
